Veteran “Super Story” Actor Passes On

In a somber announcement that has left the entertainment world in mourning, the esteemed actor Chief Oluyemi Lawrence Adeyemi, affectionately known as Suara, has passed away.

This heartbreaking news was conveyed through an official statement issued by his son, Adedotun Adeyemi. According to the statement, the renowned actor, celebrated for his role in the iconic “Super Story” series, breathed his last on Sunday, September 24, 2023. In his words, Adeyemi Jnr. expressed the family’s consolation in knowing that their beloved patriarch has found eternal rest.

In light of this loss, he earnestly requested that the family be granted the privacy they need during this period of mourning. Additionally, he mentioned that the specifics of the funeral arrangements would be communicated to the public in due course.

Meanwhile, Chief Yemi Adeyemi’s colleague and friend, Husseini Shaibu, also confirmed the passing of the veteran actor. In his tribute, he stated, “I have been reliably informed that veteran actor Chief Yemi Adeyemi, fondly known as Suara, has transitioned. Suara, Chief Adeyemi, ascended to fame through his iconic portrayal of Suara in the cherished ‘Oh Father, Oh Daughter’ series of the immensely popular Super Story narratives by Wale Adenuga Productions.”

Shaibu, who affectionately referred to him as “Baba Suara,” went on to share that Chief Adeyemi “acted out” this past Sunday, bidding farewell to his earthly journey. In a poignant farewell, he concluded, “Journey well, Baba Suara. Your absence will be deeply felt. Odigba Sir, journey well.”
