Kulusevski’s Late Strike to Secure Dramatic Draw for Tottenham against City at Etihad Stadium

In a pulsating encounter at the Etihad Stadium, Dejan Kulusevski’s 90th-minute equalizer rescued a thrilling 3-3 draw for Tottenham against reigning champions Manchester City.

Substitute Jack Grealish had seemingly secured City’s first Premier League win in three games with a goal nine minutes from time. Pep Guardiola’s side had initially taken a 2-1 lead at halftime, courtesy of a Phil Foden strike after Son Heung-min scored at both ends. Giovani Lo Celso’s superb goal leveled the score at 2-2.

Despite numerous errors from Spurs, City had several opportunities to secure a convincing victory but were punished for their wastefulness. This result marks City’s third successive draw and comes with the added frustration of Rodri’s booking, ruling him out of the upcoming midweek clash against Aston Villa. Grealish will also be suspended for the match against his former club.

For Tottenham, after enduring three consecutive defeats and grappling with multiple injuries, the hard-fought draw is seen as a highly commendable achievement. The game featured an early lead for Spurs through Son Heung-min, who unfortunately scored an own goal later. City’s missed chances and Lo Celso’s equalizer ensured the dramatic finish.

The match ended in controversy, with Erling Haaland visibly upset, as play was initially allowed to continue after he was fouled before being called back. The draw leaves both teams with plenty to ponder as they navigate the challenges ahead in the Premier League.
