HSWU donates items to Children’s Hospital
The Greater Accra Regional Council of the Health Services Workers Union (HSWU) has donated items to the Princess Marie Louise Hospital popularly known as Children’s Hospital in Accra on Tuesday.
Some of the items include 10 gallons of liquid soap, toiletries, gallons of sanitizers, gloves, drinks and bottled water which were donated to the Hospital as a form of giving back to society to mark the Union Week Celebration.
Assorted biscuits and drinks were also distributed to the patients at the Outgoing Patient Department (OPD) and Wards, and they were reassured of getting quality healthcare from HSWU members who are also workers at the facility.
The Regional Council, led by the Regional Chairman and Industrial Relations Officer, used the opportunity to educate members on the HSWU Fund. Members also took the opportunity to interact with clients, caregivers and parents present.
After the donation exercise, the Women Committee of the Health Services Workers Union (HSWU) also took the HSWU Members through the preparation of liquid soap and brown sugar.
