Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Mrs. Gifty Adorye, has won the maiden MUSIGA Gospel Performance of the Year Award at the just ended Ghana National Music Awards (GNMA) 2022. Her annual Music Concert, The Resurrection Effect 2022” earned her the award.
The Ghana National Music Awards (GNMA) 2022 ceremony which was held at the Accra International Conference Center in Accra over the weekend was attended by several music icons and stakeholders across the country. There were electrifying performing performances from several artists that saw the audience dancing to the melodious tunes of the songs.
The MUSIGA Gospel Performance Of The Year category is only for MUSIGA Gospel members and is aimed at awarding them for being part of the Union. This is adjudged by the MUSIGA, and the deserving artist gospel artist must have had the most creative and impactful performance at a Gospel concert in the year under review.. The deserving artist must also be an active and good standing member of Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in order to earn the award. This category is the latest category in the Ghana Gospel Music Awards according to Goldmann who is a part of the GNMA organizers.
Goldmann, known in real life as Daniel Agyin, is the Deputy Director for Gospel Music for the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and is currently vying for the position of Chairman for the Greater Accra chapter of MUSIGA. He has won several awards both locally and internationally. Goldmann is the founder of Goldmann foundation, an NGO that caters for the welfare of children.
Receiving the award, empress Gifty as she’s affectionately called in the music industry, said she expresses appreciation to the Almighty God , her family and her fans whom she consequently dedicated the award to.
